What is one thing you are grateful for? At the start of 2023, my mom and I started texting each other daily sharing one thing we are grateful for. Here are some of the highlights.
Mom: Today I'm grateful for the internet because it allows us good connection
Me: I'm grateful for the power of forgiveness and the openness and willingness I have to change. I'm grateful for the kind and generous friends and family in my life.
Mom: Today I'm grateful for a full rasp
berry sky. I was able to see this morning, for my sight and the appreciation I have for color and natural beauty.
Sometimes, we would send pictures with our gratitude text to illustrate the power of gratitude.
Mom: Today, I am grateful for the delicious, juicy, beautiful half of a pink grapefruit.
Sometimes our gratitude game would show us contrast, so that we could as spiritual guide Abraham Hicks says, "launch more rockets of desire."
Me: I'm grateful for new opportunities and for my amazing guitar class last night!
Mom: I'm grateful for our very sweet gratitude game.
Sometimes the texts would give us courage to listen in deeper ways to our truth.
Today I'm grateful I was invited to play a song for a dying man named Fred.
